I have a unique fee structure that charges only for my professional time. If I finish sooner than expected, then you pay less. You pay only for time used, and I’ve saved people thousands of dollars over the years.
I don’t use flat fees because price should depend on a book’s length and complexity. Flat fees may result in a client overpaying for ghostwriting services. Anyone who says he or she can deliver a certain number of pages in a precise time frame for a flat price is a ghostwriter who paints by the numbers.
Never allow a ghostwriter or a company to do the following:
- Offer to write fewer pages in exchange for a lower fee. A book is as long as it needs to be.
- Tell you that the more money you pay, the better writer you will receive.
- Upsell you on editorial and promotional services. They’re worthless.
- Tell you that their publishing packages will get you noticed by agents, editors, and major publishers. They won’t.
For a fair but professional price, contact an independent ghostwriter. Don’t become just another corporate account number. Companies deal in volume, which is how they make their money.
